At the very least It doesn't have the histrionic teenage bitching of your average Muse song.
Blah.

As a newbie visiting these boards for the first time, i thought i'd say a few things. First off, I am a huge Muse fan, obsessive, you may say, even. I find it quite pathetic that you're still discussing this almost a year after the cover, and no matter how much the original LB version completely and utterly pwns the cover (which is true), i think the level of vehemance expressed in this thread has been a bit excessive really, considering Muse's effort was not bad.
I admit before i downloaded this I had never heard of LB. I believe Muse have done a great thing by introducing this amazing band to people like me who aren't exactly up to scratch on bands as little-known as LB. About the only media coverage i have ever seen of LB in England was an article in last week's NME and 1 paragraph in Rock Sound about Hypermagic Mountain, and i probably wouldn't have paid much attention to these if I hadn't heard the Muse cover and decided to look into this intriguing band. Muse have brought LB into the lives of people and made a lot of people, including me, a lot happier for it. Tell me, how can that be a bad thing?
I wouldn't pay much attention to the interview with the band, the 'Skronk' comments are either the result of magic mushrooms or just Matt Bellamy's not getting his facts straight, it's not a terrible catastrophe, just a faux pas. He is a bit of a prick.
I think the behaviour from some members of both sides of this argument has been appalling, a relentless slagging match over a trivial subject that will leave none happy and never allow a proper discussion of the merits of this cover.

No one gives a shit, sweetie. Intermittent Muse boosters stumble on the thread and (yet again) fart life into it. We're all well over it.

And there's nothing we can do to get rid of this thread. So you'll get used to it.

I think Muse is alright, im not a huge fan but I dont compare them to some crap band like Nickelback or anything.
In a sense the cover was a great idea. Its just showing how much they like LB's music, that isnt a bad thing. Its like if someone copies you that means they admire what you are doing.
Overall I think its pretty cool they copied the song but their Interview after makes Muse a loser in my books
