ÊÖ»úÁåÉùÏÂÔØ's last album was kind of a letdown for me, personally. But that's just my opinion, no offense. I mean, c'mon, those string arrangements were too Hallmark, and the lyrics were sooooo pretentious, OMG! OMG, OMG, OMG, TTYL, LMAO, LOL, OMG!

The last album I bought was the newest Animal Collective. It's pretty fun. This might be a weird thing to think, but I think Lightning Bolt and Animal Collective share a sort of childish glee. Even though Lightning Bolt can sound evil, doing things like making a spinoff of "Frere Jacques" ("St. Jacques") and starting (and stopping) a song with "Nope, not that," etc. is kind of childish, in a good way. Animal Collective's like a girl with butterflies in her stomach, whereas Lightning Bolt's like an ADD addled Stewie from Family Guy at nine years old: evil, but ultimately sort of harmless and funny. Just my two cents, though.
Plus I've been listening to a ridiculous amount of freak folk. And I really don't care if that's not noisy enough for anyone.

My friend went to see Sigur Ros last night. He's so lucky. If there's been any period in their career where I would've wanted to see them, it'd be now.

what's some acid jazz that you like?
My very very favorite album (like, if I were stranded somewhere....you know, that one) is Pink Floyd's Ummagumma in particular and a few others of theirs from around that time.
