Bollocks are testicles. A bollock is a teste.

does anyone know how old both brians are? Also, does anyone know what lightning bolt was playing/sounding like when they first started out? I've done some google searches and found bits and pieces. Actually, I found it interesting that they are the first hit if you search for "lightning bolt." they're bigger than I thought
thanks

'A bollock is a teste' indeed -- you are awesome.
Muse cover's in with the LB downloads at laserbeast.com. Feeling charitable tonight, I'll say it reminds me of Agent Orange. Is it silly to suggest LB co-opt one of Muse's songs (I have no idea how popular Muse is, never heard of them ... do they have a hit)?
Tangentially, has anyone any other links to live LB? Aside from scattered video clips, my Googling turned up only the stuff at the Fort Thunder and Lots of Noise sites. Thanks!

Hee hee, that's wonderful, it does a great job of proving quite how significant the margin is between Lightning Bolt and other major rock bands. They sound like they're just learning to play it, putting in big melodramatic pauses in the drumming, missing loads of notes on bass and cutting the BPM by half to try and keep up.

Oh no...Just heard the Muse cover and it's pretty fucking terrible- are they trying to deter their fans from listening to Lightning Bolt? That cover is definitely not in LB's favour, it doesn't do them any justice at all! Jeez...

Just because they had the right intentions doesn't necessarily mean they did a good job of showing it.
Edit: I just listened to the cover. While it wasn't good at all, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I did notice stuff like wrong notes but still...I thought it would be slower.

Open up a little? They ruined one of my favourite songs! I think it's cool that Muse like LB, but covering one of their songs...? Definitely a big no-no... The whole 'skronk' thing is the thing that really pissed me off. Where the hell did they get that from? Was it just something they made up to make them look smart??? I don't know...Rock bands eh?

Nah, it's my cover version of Dracula Mountain. It's not as good as the original but at least I'm helping LB by getting their music out to the public! They will be really thankful to me.
My feeling on this topic is, ultimately: LB=possibly my favourite band ever ever. Muse=pretty shit regardless of whose songs they cover and a band for whom the phrase "operatic-poprock-pomposity" might be apt.
NO MUSE IS GOOD NEWS!

Muse does seem to be making a career of ripping off other bands ... um, Radiohead?
